A small hole in the pavement on Keighley Road & traffic lights!
Who would have thought a small hole in the pavement on Keighley Road, just down from the petrol station, could have caused so much traffic chaos. Traffic queued from the top of Bolton Road to a standing queue on the dual carriageway of the A629.
The traffic lights were set for one way traffic with the lights green for about 30 seconds and a turnaround time of about 15 seconds AND THIS WAS THE RESULT
The pictures were taken between 5.44 pm – 6.12 pm on Tuesday 30 September 2014
Just think of the chaos which would happen every day if access to Sykes Lane / Tesco was via traffic lights on Keighley Road.
The proposed cycle time for these proposed traffic lights is 90 seconds. The situation above could happen every morning and night.
