6 May 2010 - At the Silsden Town Council Annual General Meeting held on 6th May Cllr Michael Elsmore was elected Mayor for the year with Cllr Liz Trainor as the Deputy Mayor.

11 March 2010 - Silsden has been rocked by the death aged 60 of its town mayor, Councillor Alan Edwards.
