At the STC meeting last night the police reported there has been 9 minor thefts in the area over the past month.

It would seem there is no specific area targeted and is opportunistic, in that someone is touring round in a car and takes something from a door (keys left in the door) / a garden / garage.

The sort of things going missing are:
Keys from doors
Battery
Bicycles

If you have seen something suspicious you are urged to get in touch with the police.

It is not opportunistic if someone is driving around in a car.It is pre meditated. Why do police class things as they do is beyond me.

My words not theirs

The message is don't make things easy by leaving your keys in the front door, or bikes laying around in the garden or your garage door open.

The police didn't have enough information on these crimes so if you have any information talk to the police.
