does anyone one know who or how to approach putting a 7 1/2 ton limit, except for access on the road from addingham to steeton r/about to stop it being used as a short cut by articulated lorries through to lancs.i see eastburn have one and that is an A road as well.

That's not the point Doggie. The only reason I didn't comment before was there was no real discussion on the subject you started.

STC have asked for a 7.5 tonne limit (except for access) many times. The last time was when Kirkgate was dug up for gas repairs and a one way system was imposed for traffic under 7.5 tonne. This worked quite well apart from the busses and large delivery vehicles going to the coop.

During the time the HGV ban was in place there were not a single complaint from any haulage companies BUT still Bradford lifted the ban when the gas works finished.
